The LGACS 10k is staged at Little Gransden airfield, just one day ahead of the Little Gransden Air and Car Show, the inaugural LGACS 10K Run proved to be a big success - with almost 100 runners entering the event.
The event is a mixed terrain route across the beautiful Bedfordshire countryside. First across the line and overall winner was Edward Moffett in a time of 35 minutes and 53 seconds, while the first lady across the line was Clare Thurgood from the Cambridge & Coleridge AC in a very creditable time of 40 minutes and 3 seconds. Both now go down in history as the very first winners of the event, while holding the course record for at least a year!
An opportunity for sightseeing too
Competitors from outside the local area can take this opportunity to have a first-class run in great scenery in the morning and take time out to visit the beautiful, historic City of Cambridge in the afternoon.

Community involvement
Each year, the race proves to be an exciting event for the whole community and a pleasure for all concerned, both runners and helpers. Many local community groups and businesses support the event as marshals, as well as taking part. We hope you’ll make this one of the highlights in your calendar and come back year after year.
